Application

An application may be obtained by coming into our offices at 39 Ayer Road or by filling out the form online. An application must be received at least two days in advance of needing service.

Billing and Payment

Electric bills are rendered on a monthly basis for all customers. Water bills are rendered quarterly for residential customers and monthly for industrial users. All bills are payable upon receipt. If not paid within receipt of next billing, service will be subject to termination after proper notification by the Department. A charge of $50 will be assessed for renewing service if terminated for nonpayment.

Move Out

A request to discontinue service must be made at least two full working days before actual termination can be made. Upon request to discontinue, be prepared to give a forwarding address, and telephone number. All final bills are due upon receipt.

Please note that light and water are municipal departments and automatically place a lien on property for all outstanding electric and water bills. This should be considered at any real estate closing.
